Individual Psychotherapy

Individual psychotherapy is a dedicated weekly or bi-weekly space to slow down and become curious about the parts of yourself that are difficult to see alone, or feel frightening to share with others.

It can be a place to explore relationships, desire, identity, sexuality, creativity, family, ambition, shame, anxiety, trauma and the patterns that shape how you move through the world.

What makes individual psychotherapy special, is the relationship that is built between the client and therapist. The long-term nature of it offers the opportunity to build an intimate, trusting relationship over months and years, so you can be known over time.

There is no single way to do individual therapy “right”. The work may involve making sense of the past, understanding patterns in the present, moving through a particularly difficult life transition, or as support before a new life chapter.

Sometimes the most powerful therapeutic work  begins when it feels like there is nothing to talk or fret about. Then in those windows of time, there is only more of yourself to discover.
