Fees

Session fees ($255-400) – Covers the full cost of therapy, supports professional development, and helps fund lower-cost spots for others.

Subsidized sessions ($155-250) – A rate that keeps therapy accessible. Availability is limited and depends on collective contributions and therapist availability.

We don’t accept insurance, but we can provide a statement for out-of-network benefits. Accepting insurance would limit our ability to find a fee that fits everyone’s needs, and remove valuable clinical information. We believe discussing fees is key to our collaboration.

No, we do not accept insurance, but we are an out-of-network provider. Out-of-network plans may cover anywhere from 40-100% of the cost of the sessions. If you use an out-of-network insurance plan, you pay us directly, and we provide you with a monthly statement, which you submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

If you are not sure whether you have out-of-network insurance benefits, you may want to ask the following questions of your insurance provider:

Do I have out-of-network (POS or PPO) coverage?

If so, do I need pre-certification (not authorization)? If so, ask the representative to pre-certify you immediately.

How many sessions am I entitled to per year?

Do I have a deductible? How much is it, and how much has it been met? (This is the amount that you will pay out-of-pocket before getting reimbursement from your insurance)

What percentage of each session will you reimburse? (the average is 70%). They must give you an answer: it is the law.

We are only accepting credit cards for all sessions.

The Work

Both. While in-person work allows for deeper nuance, we do offer virtual sessions for those who need the flexibility. All virtual sessions are conducted through our HIPAA-compliant client portal.

We will determine the cadence of sessions together. Sessions are scheduled once or twice weekly, depending on the issues presented.

Sessions follow the therapeutic hour (50min) for all individuals, couples, and families.

You are responsible for paying for all scheduled sessions. If a cancellation occurs 48 hours or more before the appointment, we will make every effort to reschedule the missed session. If the cancellation is less than 48 hours, you will be responsible for paying the full fee for the session.

Communications between you and the therapist are entirely confidential. No information is disclosed without your prior written consent. However, there are some exceptions required by law to this rule. We are required by law to report to the authorities the following circumstances:

  • If we suspect that an individual may be involved in child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse.
  • If you are threatening serious bodily harm to another person.
  • If you intend to hurt yourself. The therapist will try to work with you to ensure your safety. However, in rare cases of extreme emergency, the therapist may need to consider additional measures.
